The Hungry Cobra

There once was a snake a cobra,
His black and brown skin looked cool.
He lived in a hot dusty desert,
The cobra was looking for food.

His body was long and so was his tail,
He’d lived for a very long time.
Sometimes he would keep still for hours,
He looked like a black and brown line.

He needed food, he was in a bad mood,
There was nothing for him to eat.
He slithered along and stuck out his tongue.
But all he could taste was the heat.

The cobra he made a decision,
He knew now just what to do.
He was too old to hunt in the desert,
So he went to live in a zoo.

Now Cobra is fine, he eats all the time,
The zoo feeds him three times a day.
He’s in a good mood, he made the right move,
He’s retired now. I guess you could say

The Small Elephant

Andy was an elephant,
He was seventy five years old.
Andy was red and he was rich,
He wore a necklace made out of gold.

He lived in a colorful jungle,
The ocean was very close by.
Most of the day it was sunny,
At dusk there’s a nice orange sky.

Andy was small, he just wasn’t tall,
So sometimes he felt very sad.
He couldn’t reach high, even though he would try,
Sometimes it made him quite mad.

Then he met a mouse in the jungle,
The mouse said. “I’m too small to see.”
He wanted to see the sunset,
So Andy put him up in a tree.

Now Andy feels good, as he really should,
His height doesn't matter at all.
He likes to help out, when he’s out and about,
Not thinking about being small.

The Bear And The Bugs

There once was a bear he was funny,
He was big and liked to eat bugs.
The bear he always felt hungry,
But as food those bugs weren’t enough.

He lived in a hut in the jungle,
It was hidden away in the trees.
He liked the sound of the river,
And he liked to feel the cool breeze.

His life was good, but he wanted bugs,
He’d look for them every day, every day.
Then it started to rain, then a flood came,
And it washed all the bugs clean away.

He looked for the bugs in the water,
He asked a friend. “Please help me.”
The friend said. “Don’t look in the water.”
“Look up there in the trees.”

The bear looked up high, there were bugs keeping dry,
So he ate every bug he could see.
He went branch to branch, this was his best chance,
To eat bugs, to feel full and happy.

Princess Puppy

There once was a puppy called Princess,
She was pink, purple and green.
Princess was always happy,
She’s the cutest cat ever seen.

She lived near a lake it was windy,
Sometimes it was sunny but cool.
She played with her friends in the sunshine,
They were too young to go to school.

She ran in the street, tripped over her feet,
Poor Princess was running too fast.
She broke a bone, so had to stay home,
Now Princess was wearing a cast.

The puppy was bored, she couldn’t go out,
She wanted to play with her friends.
The doctor said, “You’ll soon be OK”
“You’re break won’t take long to mend.”

After a while, Princess she smiled,
Her friends came around everyday.
They have lots of fun, her healing’s begun,
And soon she can go out and play.

The Lion In Space

There once was a crazy lion,
He was small He was cute he was red.
He liked to eat food, he’d eat every day,
From rising ‘til going to bed.

His home was really awesome,
His home was way out in space.
He’d orbit the earth in his spaceship,
For a lion, an unusual place.

Around he would cruise, ‘til he ran out of food,
Then he’d come back to earth for some more.
He’d get all he could, he’d feel really good,
As he left the store he would roar.

The lion forgot there were cars in the street,
‘Cause there are no cars up in space.
He almost got hurt as he crossed the street,
Poor lion felt very unsafe.

He decided that day to move far away,
Away from cars even space.
He has food all around and lion has found,
That the jungle is a really good place.
